The Journey of Wraparound

I’ll go ahead and admit it. Wraparound is my favorite program of FCNI’s. I just love it. I love that it is truly a collaborative effort that involves a lot of different agencies--the Department of Social Services, FCNI, Behavioral Health, schools, probation, as well as individuals who are hand-selected by families to be part of their support team.

CHAMPIONS

The October classic, the World Series, just ended: the Boston Red Sox have emerged as the “World Champions.” So many eyes were glued to their TV sets in great anticipation, wondering if their team will prevail. Now, Boston fans are filled with joy and ecstasy, while Dodger fans are filled with bitter disappointment. But there can only be one “Champion", at least in a sports competition. And thus, this concept is what frames our modern concept of Champions.

Of Fear, Complacency, Conviction & Courage

I spent most of the first week of May doing public policy advocacy in Washington DC, something I have done for nearly a decade. Wow, was this year different! As I flew back to California, these four words resonated in my thoughts: Fear, Complacency, Conviction and Courage.
